Connecticut Ballroom Theatre, a Ballroom performance group is currently seeking 4 male and 4 female ballroom dancers to join the cast of “Mad Cap Ballroom” an original dance theatre production.

There is Swing, Lindy, Cha-Cha, Mambo and smooth dance formations along with some acting roles.  Some ballroom/partnering background necessary. Performing experience and dance training is provided with future opportunities to perform.  

CBT is a non-profit dance and acting company comprised of both professional and amateur dancers.  Our mission is to promote the art of ballroom dance, preserving its legacy of a significant art form by combining authentic original styles with more contemporary and competitive styles. We do this through a theatrical venue with story and song. CBT is looking for dedicated adults of all ages with the desire to learn and perform.

The Artistic Director is Alex Scott, co founder and Yale Ballroom Dance Coach, Dance in Rhythm coach-judge and choreographer.

One to 2 nights a week you will receive training in various dances, technique and choreography. Once accepted there is a minimal monthly membership fee to cover basic costs.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote ballroom dance preserving its legacy as a significant and enduring art form. We do this by the incorporation and study of the various partner dances of the 20th century  from their earliest original forms to the subsequent evolutionary developments. Dance, we believe is for everyone of all ages and our troupe is made up of professional and amateur dancers of all ages, levels and experience. Incorporating story, song and various dance forms makes the shows more relatable and entertaining as well as a lot of fun to perform.
